Quit collecting garbage and hanging onto stuff you no longer use. Besides wasting space, it requires your energy to clean it, store it, and think about what you are going to do with it. Just get rid of it.

The Time is Now to Live with Less

A lot of changes are coming. Massive changes.

The economy is in the process of undergoing a major shift. This will affect the world that you know, in such a drastic way, that you need to prepare to move fast from one place to another.

You will not have time to grab everything that you’ve spent so much time accumulating. You might have a few minutes. For this reason, it’s important to begin minimizing your possessions.

Live Simply: 5 Things You Can Live Without

1. Books/Magazines
You have already read that book or magazine, so give it to a friend, a thrift store, or the library.

2. Decorations
Because those decorations are just tiny nightmares reminding you to dust them. Typically, people keep decorations as identity signatures, showing who they are through what they own. Instead of doing that, be smarter about your identity by showing who you are through your personality. This means less dusting, rearranging, and maintaining decorative items.

3. Gifts
If it’s a gift you’re not using, trade it, sell it, or give it away. If it’s a gift from someone that is no longer in your life, or someone who you don’t care about, get rid of it. Things aren’t worth keeping in your life if they just bring up bad memories. The process of elimination and de-cluttering will free up space in your life for better things.

4. Clothes
Get rid of most of your clothes. Having less clothes means having less laundry to wash. Although it may mean doing laundry more often, depending on how often the clothes need washing, having less clothes feels easier and requires less shelf space.

5. Unused Technology
If you’re not using that old computer, iPod, cellphone, TV, give it away.

Declutter your Life

This short list probably encompasses a portion of what you can get rid of, in order to live simply, feel freer, and travel lighter when the time comes.

You know what you need to get rid of, so quit making excuses for things that are just cluttering your view and taking up space–physical and mental–in your life.

Live Simply So You Can Move Fast
Because of the economic collapse that is coming to America, and the ensuing police state that will follow, the time to live simply is now. Live with less.
